At Creekside Oral Surgery, we are pleased to assist patients with dental insurance. We understand that navigating insurance benefits can be complex. Although it is the patient’s responsibility to verify coverage and secure any necessary pre-authorizations, we are committed to supporting you throughout the process. Payment is due at the time of service, but as a courtesy we will contact your insurance in an effort to help you to understand your benefits prior to treatment.
We want to help you navigate your dental insurance with clarity. The extent of your coverage is determined by the plan you or your employer selected. Some plans cover as little as 30%, while others may cover up to 100% of services, minus deductibles and plan limits. While your insurance company is responsible to you, not our office, we are here to assist you in maximizing your benefits. Here are a few key points about dental insurance to keep in mind:
Please Note – our office is NOT directly contracted with any insurance companies nor do we accept assignment of benefits, we operate on a FEE-FOR-SERVICE basis. which means you are responsible for paying our usual and customary fees upfront. Providing your insurance is a PPO and not DMO or HMO, and you have provided us with accurate coverage information, we will promptly file an electronic claim on your behalf to your insurance so your insurance can reimburse you directly after your procedure has been completed. All true PPO insurances provide out of network benefits, however some Oral Surgery procedures are not covered by insurance, but we do our best to submit your claim to maximize any benefits your insurance provides.
This fee-for-service model allows us to provide the highest quality care possible to our patients, without the need to cut corners to compensate for the constant lowering of insurance reimbursement paid to providers which sometimes is as low as 50-60% of the normal cost to provide the services. Most insurance companies will process claims within four to six weeks. This is the time period that should be allowed for final processing of your claim and to receive your insurance reimbursement. If issues arise you may contact your insurance company directly with questions you may have or to file an appeal of any adverse decision.
For your convenience, we accept all major credit/ debit cards. We do not accept cash or checks. We also offer 3rd party no-interest financing options via Care Credit (Apply Here). We endeavor to deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, full payment is expected at the time services are rendered. Please remember that you are responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage.
